Poster for the Summer edition 2023 of the DCAF Dublin Comic Arts Festival.
I wanted to illustrate a version of Dublin where it’s all about reading. I used a very limited palette, riso printing effect techniques and textures that reminds analog newspaper printing processes to emphasise the theme of the festival which is comic books.
I included elements of Dublin to make it local, like the Martello tower, the quays and the Pooled chimneys, typical of Dublin’s coast.
